Parents and citizens association

Meetings are held every third Wednesday of the month, during term time from 7:30pm to 8:30pm.

Purpose

A forum through which parents can voice their concerns and give support to any matter involving their daughter at the school. It is also a forum through which the teaching staff can obtain input into the policies and procedures used to effectively run the school. It also acts as a fund-raiser for needed projects that would not be otherwise funded by Government allocations. Our main funding comes from the parents and citizens association (P&C) contribution associated with annual school fees.

School financial support: Apart from funding itemised projects, the P&C association donates funds to the School Speech Day (held at Sydney Town Hall), and provides financial assistance to a Year 12 student from the school to enable her to pursue further education.

Meetings

General meetings allow parents and teachers to address various issues and allows a communication forum through which an awareness of school activities is achieved. On a regular basis guest presentations are held (replacing the monthly meeting) on issues that are of interest and concern to parents. Items such as career advice, curriculum, and student wellbeing have been covered at these meetings.

Activities

As the need arises, activities involving the broader school community are held that require participation from students and parents to make them successful and enable individuals to get involved in school.

Please join us, as your contribution to our activities will be very much appreciated. If you would like to be involved contact the school.
