Hornsby Girls High School uniform code
The wearing of our school uniform is an important aspect of each student’s education at Hornsby Girls High School.
School uniform:
- Promotes the development a real sense of identity and cohesion for students
- Encourages students to take pride in their school and its achievements
- Fosters a student’s sense of pride in their personal appearance
- Creates a positive image for the school in the community
- Enhances the health and safety of students when involved in school activities (e.g. proper footwear for the Science laboratory or Food Technology kitchen)
- Has other practical safety aspects in that it enables quick identification of any intruder onto the school premises, and aids effective supervision on school excursions, etc.
For these reasons, our school community has always strongly supported a compulsory school uniform code.

Purchasing the uniform
Our uniforms are supplied by School Locker.
Uniforms are available for purchase online, in person at the North Sydney store or at the school uniform shop every Wednesday from 1 pm to 3.30 pm (see flyer below). Year 7 2024 students are welcome to access the onsite uniform shop during Term 4 2023.
