About us

Hornsby Girls High School is an academically selective school, located adjacent to the central business district of Hornsby.

Since its foundation in 1930, the school has enjoyed an excellent reputation as a school with a strong academic focus within a caring and supportive environment. It places emphasis on the value and potential of each and every individual and to this end, provides a range of extra-curricular opportunities and welfare programs to support the students' academic goals.

The main building of the school is heritage-listed, symbolising the pride and tradition in the school. The school's history, traditions and value for academic excellence and the development of the whole person, are actively supported by the parent body and the Old Girls' Union.

The development of leadership and a sense of community pride and responsibility within the students are highly valued across the school.
