Orientation Day will take place on Tuesday 1 December 2020. Due to COVID-19 restrictions NO parents will be able to enter the school.

Hornsby Girls High School Co-Curricular Music Program
Hornsby Girls High School has a vibrant Music program containing more than 40% of the student population at the school.
We look forward to welcoming the 2021 Year 7 cohort to the Co-Curricular Music Program.

Hornsby Girls High School Laptop Program
All students at Hornsby Girls are expected to bring a charged laptop every day to all classes.
The BYOD scheme enables the student laptop to be bought privately at a store. Parents are responsible for the selection, purchase and maintenance of the laptop. The school does not prescribe any brand or model BUT whichever laptop is chosen should comply with the recommendations below:
Mandatory BYOD device specifications:
Must be a laptop - no Android devices, no iPads, no tablets or phones.
Must have a keyboard.
Must have dual band wifi (our school wifi is on 5ghz)
Recommended BYOD features
Processor - Intel i5-8350U CPU
Memory - 8 GB Memory
Storage - Minimum 256 GB SSD storage.
Student Responsibilities
Students are responsible for all repairs and maintenance. If the laptop is being repaired the student should source a temporary replacement.
Students are not to use games or non educational software during school hours.
Students are responsible for bringing the laptop into school every day fully charged.
NOTE - While the family is responsible for all aspects of maintenance under this scheme, the school can provide assistance with connecting to the internet at school.
Year 7 Camp
The Year 7 Orientation Camp will take place on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 February 2021 at the Collaroy Centre.

Remittance Advice

To make an online payment through the school website:
- Go to our school website: https://hornsbygir-h.schools.nsw.gov.au/
- From the home page click the 'make a payment' tab, located in the centre at the top of the page.
- Enter your daughter's name and date of birth (You do not require a reference number).
- Enter your contact details.
- Select Other and add Description.
- Follow the prompts to make the payment. A receipt for your payment can be printed and/or emailed to you.
